Magnetic and Electrical Physical Property Measurements
Instrumentation
The physical properties characterization platform is consisting of quantum design physical properties measurement system (PPMS) and Magnetic properties measurement system (MPMS), accessible via existing cross-share agreements.
The PPMS allows measurement of electrical transport, heat capacity, and magnetization in temperatures between 1.8 K and 300 K and at an applied field of up to 9/14 T.
The SQUID MPMS allows precision measurement of magnetic samples within a temperature of 1.8 K to 300 K and at an applied field of up to 7 T. A He3 cryostat is also available for measurements down to 0.4 K.
